These lines are designed to cast long lines with less effort. Well, thats the hole point with a shooting head you might say. True ofcourse, but the profile of the head can be more or less effective.
These heads are 9,3 meters long and designed for beeing able to turn over flies in windy situations. They all have a rear taper. The rear taper ensures good airial properties, which will add a little extra to your casting.
You kan even turn the head backward to get a more agressive taper in the front. Some casters prefer this in especially very windy conditions or when using big bulky flies.
The new shooting heads has our slim welded loops in both ends. This ensures a smooth joining between the head and the running line.
The Intermediate heads are "Semi Clear", meaning a clear coating over a thin white braided dacron core. The result is the "best of 2 worlds". You get the clear appearence that is nice on intermediate lines. But you also get the flexible line that performs perfect in the air and even in cold temperatures when using the dacron core instead of the mono core. Besdies that you are also able to make the nice slim welded loops when using the dacron core.
The sinking rate is intermediate, meaning less than a sinking I but a notch more than a "Hoover"
