The mono runningline is for meant for getting that extra casting length.
A bit more difficult to handle, than a coated one, but once you have gotten used to it, it is not so bad....
Man prefer to use stripping basket when using mono runninglines, the alternativelive is to grease it, so it floats.
Our mono line has longitudial grooves, that wil fizate air when it is greased, meaning a much better floating ability than most other mono runing lines.
The surface is extra tuff/hard, so the line is rather stiff. Still it does not gain memory as most stiff lines does. During testing we never straightened the line - it comes off just fine. All test guys was though using large arbour reels!!
The stiffness also prevent tangle - not that it is 100 % tangle free - but close to........
50 m spool.
